inorganic compound | bismuth nitrate is an inorganic compound that is a colorless or white solid with nitric acid odor, soluble in nitric acid, glycerol, ethylene glycol, acetone, dilute acid, insoluble in ethanol, carbon tetrachloride, ethyl acetate, water is decomposed into basic bismuth nitrate. Its molecular formula is Bi(NO3)3 · 5H2O, bismuth nitrate without water of crystallization has not been prepared. This product is corrosive to the skin, do not use direct contact with the skin. Bismuth nitrate is a catalyst, and can be catalyzed by activated carbon hydrazine hydrate reduction of aromatic nitro compounds, to prepare aromatic amines, the yield of 78 ~ 99%. Also used in the production of other bismuth salts, commonly used in picture tubes and luminescent paints. The basic salt is used as a drug. Basic bismuth nitrate is soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, insoluble in water and ethanol. Slightly hygroscopic. When heated to red hot, it decomposes into bismuth trioxide and nitrogen oxides. After oral administration, a layer of protective film is formed on the wound surface of gastric mucosa to reduce the stimulation of food to gastric mucosa. Bismuth and hydrogen sulfide combine in the intestine to form insoluble bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) on the intestinal mucosa, which slows down intestinal peristalsis; with convergence, protection of gastric mucosa and antibacterial effect. It can be obtained by partial hydrolysis of bismuth nitrate, filtration, concentration, cooling crystallization, solid-liquid separation and drying. |
